Where is our focus?

There are times in life when we change or lose focus & direction. Sometimes we spend too long looking back on what has been. But there are no “If only’s” We can be lost in the busyness of today, but should guard against losing time with GOD. How we view the future determines how we live today. Dr. Julius Segal writes, “Whether or not we respond to our crises with stiffened resolve can make a difference in our very survival. Many prisoners of war perished in prison camps because of a condition later described as ‘give-up-itis’ Many lost hope for their future survival & gave in to the indoctrination of their captors. They had lost a capacity found to be essential in any encounter with a crisis— the capacity of hope” Let us keep our focus on JESUS, the author & perfecter of our hope & faith. Remember the words of Paul, “when we are in CHRIST, behold the old has gone & the new has come”. Keep your focus on HIM.
