Pray for each other
Prayer is the lifeblood of the church. Not the “God bless Johnny” or “Please God I need a Mercedes” sort of prayer that we so often hear, or worse still, use in our own private prayer times, but the prayerwhich involves really getting alongside the person for whom we are praying.
Real prayer should involve all the “....each other....” ministries. It should encourage, forgive, express love, enable us to serve, comfort and help to bear one another's burdens, etc, etc.
In short, just as a poor circulatory system in our physical bodies can and does lead to ailments, and prevent proper, normal functioning of the body, so a poor prayer base in our Christ-body – our church – can and does inhibit our functioning as Christ our Lord intends.
Let us therefore seek with all our hearts to bring our lifeblood, our prayer for each other, into the condition which Jesus our head desires in His church. Let us PRAY for each other!
