It is finished

The last three words spoken by JESUS as HE died on the cross were, “It is finished” What did HE mean? What
was finished? Was it that HE had paid the price for bearing the sin of the world, He had completed the FATHER’s will for HIM? The once-forever sacrifice for sins? Charles Spurgeon once said, “Stand at the foot of the cross, & count the purple drops by which you have been cleansed: See the thorn-crown; mark HIS scourged shoulders, still gushing with encrimsoned rills .... And if you do not lie prostrate on the ground before that cross, you have never seen it.” It is the simple lifting up the cross of CHRIST when we preach CHRIST crucified, & risen, there is built in power to it.
