Wisdom of Mission Series // Part 3

I think it is safe to say that Jesus came with a mission, and His mission was to make a difference wherever He went. Not just any difference, but a difference for good and for God (indirectly and directly for God). Where did He get this mission? From God the Father.

In theology this is called the Missio Dei – the mission of God which He conferred to Jesus. Basically God the Father tasked Jesus with a mission and asked Him to go and do it, and in this way God the Father send Jesus to do Mission. This is why Jesus says these words in Luke 2:49 “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
