Norwood Christmas Pageant
Combined Christmas Endeavours
Saturday 23rd November
Every year, Burnside Family Church, along with several other churches of the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide have the privilege of taking part in the Norwood Christmas Pageant.
The Combined Christmas Endeavours (of the Christian Churches of the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide), have quite a predominant section near the start of the parade, where we have the opportunity to proclaim the Good News of Jesus’ birth to the streets of Norwood.
We always need volunteers to make this a success. There are various ways that you can be involved on the day:
Walking along carrying a banner or sign
Distributing bubbles with flags attached
Nativity Float (Mary, Joseph, shepherds)
Other walk/ride-along roles (Mary, Joseph, wise men)
Riding on Carol Singing truck (singing carols)
Walk along in one of the nation groups in the ‘Christmas Around the World’ section
There are also jobs to be done before and after the pageant as well:
[Before] Preparing the handouts for distribution (gluing the flags onto the bubble dispenser). (This is done several weeks prior to the event - see below for further information)
[Before] Helping to clean and assemble banners and signs
[Before] Decorating the Carol Singers truck with Christmas decorations
[After] Helping with clean up and pack up
Click the button above to volunteer or contact us if you have any questions.
The Norwood Pageant starts at 10am, however if you are volunteering, you need to report to the Combined Christmas Endeavours section (near the front) to get yourself ready and help get everything prepared at 9am.
Volunteers who have registered will be provided with any additional information needed.
