Obey rather than worry - by Christian Benard

A few days ago, i was laughing at a Covid19 joke on my Facebook. It said:

Experts predict an increase in parents’-educational level by the end of 2020.

I couldn’t help myself thinking about it. It would be great indeed if by the end of 2020, church goers in general responded by reading and meditating on Bible. And in doing so, we start “not to increase our knowledge of God”, rather we determine to get to know God afresh, and start obeying Him, our Redeemer. In Romans 6:16 it is written:

‘’ don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey as slaves, you are slave to the one whom you obey - whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness’’

So we better choose to obey God and in doing so produce good fruit like Holiness, which in our culture is no fashionable, yet still remains is better, than to be cool in the world’s eyes. The benefit is written in Romans 6:22:

But now you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God,the benefits you reap leads to Holiness, and the result is eternal life.

As we are living uncertain times, lets not be worried as the media leads us to be, but obey the one who gives us Peace and Hope.
